Event Background

Since the beginning of the Trump administration in January 2017, Japanese companies have been closely following developments in North American infrastructure markets. Many seminars focusing on North American infrastructure have also been held, sponsored by JBIC, JETRO, law firms and others. However, although these seminars have nominally been focusing on "North America", in reality the focus has been heavily on the United States. This seminar aims to bring Canada back into the picture.

The town of Hirono's Reconstruction Planning Division in Fukushima Prefecture will be hosting its annual International Forum on promoting the understanding of the condition of the disaster-affected area.  

Purpose
As was announced during last September’s International Forum, this year’s forum aims to build more consensus and understanding of the condition of the disaster-affected area.
We will bring together a mixture of people and involve them in wide-ranging discussions on the disaster-affected area and issues related to its reconstruction.
