Mercedes-Benz Japan Cup 2014

We are pleased to announce that the 12th North America - Europe Golf Challenge in Japan, the Mercedes-Benz Japan Cup 2014, will be played on Friday, 10 October, at the same venue as in previous years, the Atsugi Kokusai Country Club in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Manulife Waku Waku Charity Run

The charity race will be comprised of the following events.

  • 20K Relay Race ‐ 5K × 4 people (high school students and above) ¥12,400 per team
  • Half Marathon (high school students and above) ¥4,600

  • 5K Fun Run (high school students and above)
  • 1K Parent‐Child Run / Small Children Run (elementary school students ‐ including children not yet enrolled in school – and their parents)

 

Davis Cup ~ Japan VS Canada

Come out and support Canadian tennis players Vasek Pospilsil and Milos Raonic during their match against the Japanese team of Kei Nishikori and Go Soeda for the Davis Cup. The match takes place in three consecutive days in Ariake Colosseum from January 31 - February 2, 2014. 

There will be a Team Canada seating area during the matches where fans will be able to show their Canadian spirit together and cheer for the Canadian Team.

With the weather warming and the grass greening it's a fine time to dust off the golf clubs and start preparing for the CCCJ 13th Annual Golf Tournament!

Tokyo Gaijin Hanami Charity Party

• This is a CHARITY EVENT! All the proceeds will go to Team NADIA to support their continuous work in the affected areas of the great Tohoku earthquake and tsunami on March 11, 2011.
• The event will be canceled in case of bad weather.
• Party time is from 1pm until 6 but you can come early or later if you want, just check the venue map and look for us in the park.
• Meeting time is at 12:45pm and 1:45pm at JR Harajuku station, Omotesando exit, right in-front of Newdays convenience store.

Canada Day Celebration in the Kansai 2012

KCBA and CJSK (Canada Japan Society of Kansai) will jointly celebrate Canada's 145th birthday on Thursday July 12, 2012 at "R" RIVERSIDE GRILL & BEER GARDEN.
Please block your calendars for the evening to celebrate the strong Kansai-Canada relationship while doing what Kansai business people do best, networking!
We will have officials from the Embassy of Canada as our special guests. The Chairman of Canada Japan Society of Kansai (CJSK) Mr. Yutaka Ienaga will also honor the celebration.

Immediately following the AGM, Members and their guests are encouraged to walk over to Cafe 246 to enjoy a fine selection of foods and drinks, while taking in as much Canadiana we can squeeze into a two-hour period!

 

Special performance by Darren Sigesmund and his sextet

As part of the their Asia-Pacific Tour, Award-winning, Toronto-based Jazz composer Darren Sigesmund and his sextet will perform at a special CCCJ-Joint Chamber Event on June 5th at Oakwood Premier Tokyo Midtown. Enjoy the beautiful cherry blossom trees while playing 18 holes of your best golf. But don't get distracted there are still prizes at stake.

After 9 holes you can relax in the dinning area and eat lunch before setting out on the back 9. And after 18 there will be a barbecue reception where you will be able to enjoy a wonderful view of the golf course.

During the Barbecue reception there will be awards for the good, the bad and maybe the average. There will be many prizes and sponsors for this event.
