We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Jackie F. Steele, Designated Associate Professor, Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University, as our distinguished guest speaker.
The seminar will be moderated by CCCJ Honorary Adviser, Akiko Kosuda. After Dr. Steele's talk in Japanese, there will be an opportunity for Q&A which is accepted in both English and Japanese.

About the Speaker:
Presenter Profile
Jackie F. Steele (PhD Political Science) is Associate Professor (Graduate School of Law, Nagoya University), co-founder of the Research Network on Gender and Diversity in Political Representation in Japan (GDRep), Program Director or For Empowering Women (FEW) Japan (Kanto), and most recently, founder of en-joi, D&I Consulting and Training.
A trilingual political scientist and longtime Japan resident (since 1997) with expertise in diversity, gender equality, inclusive leadership and democratic citizenship, Jackie is passionate about co-creating purpose-led organizations that integrate diversity, solidarity, and innovation into the core values and practices of team-building and decision-making.
Jackie believes that “Diversity rocks and inclusion matters.” Her literacy-and-praxis-building approach equips D&I thought leaders and stakeholders with a language and vision of inclusion enriched by academic expertise, international best practices, and two decades of action-based research on intersectional identities of diverse men and women in Japan and North America.
