ROBERT FULLER
Currie & Brown, Managing Director

1. Name: Robert Fuller
2. Position / Business: Managing director of Currie & Brown - Cost and Project Management Consulting
3. Why I want to serve as Governor: It has been some time since I was active on the board and feel that it is time to serve again as a governor.
4. Previous CCCJ involvement: I have served as governor from 2014 to 2018 and vice-chair 2019-2020. In addition to serving on the board I served on many committees such as the Events and Golf committee.
5. Proudest accomplishment as a volunteer: The Francis Mason story remains one of my proudest accomplishments.
Francis suffered a sever head trauma and was in a coma for some time before coming out of it. At that time the family wanted to have him travel back to Nova Scotia. Once he was stable enough to be moved the Chamber, lead by Wilf Wakely, Air Canada, Manulife, and many others supported the family while they were in country and made the move successful. My wife and I welcomed his parents to stay with us for about 2 weeks as we lived close to the hospital where Francis was being cared for.
6. Ideas and plans for the CCCJ:
- Increase membership through a proactive results focused initiative by approaching Japanese and Canadian organizations for the dual purpose of growing the membership and encouraging future Governor candidates.
- Standardized committee goal reporting with review and vetting by board members responsible. This will hopefully streamline the process of getting ideas in front of the board for approval and back to the committees.
- Broadening awareness of the Japan / Canada trade corridors through more Goal-Oriented events tailored towards specific industries including AI, energy, tourism, and agriculture.
