Kevin Plastow

Candidate for Governor

Hello members!

I was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, where I lived until I graduated University with a degree in International Relations. Upon graduation I moved to Osaka in 1991, where I lived for almost 4 years teaching English and learning Japanese. After 10 years back in North America I returned to Japan, this time to Tokyo with the help of Maple Leaf Foods, in 2004. I have been living here ever since; 21 years in Tokyo now.

I am currently Vice President at BTS, a global strategy execution consulting company headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden and listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. I have led the Japan business since its inception in 2011 and currently work with Tier One Japanese companies in multiple industries. Prior to BTS, I have held various Leadership roles at General Electric (Japan), Maple Leaf Foods, Inc and JMAC (The Japan Management Association Consultants).

I have previously had the honour of being a Governor on the CCCJ. Many years ago, I (and another Governor at the time) hired David Anderson, who many of you would know, to run the CCCJ. After many years away I decided to return to the Chamber last year and would very much (again) like to play a more active role. I would like to help better enable the CCCJ to both strengthen and accelerate cooperation of businesses across our two countries and to strengthen the informal networking benefits this great Chamber provides its members. That is, to both work and play hard. I look forward to meeting all those I have not yet met and reconnecting with the many who will (hopefully) remember me.
