4th Annual Canada Business and Investment Seminar & Networking

The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (CCCJ) is proud to support Manning Elliott LLP’s fourth annual Canada Business and Investment Seminar & Networking Reception, taking place in Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

Designed for Japanese businesses considering exporting to or expanding into Canada, as well as companies already operating in the Canadian market, the seminar will explore opportunities in Canada’s stable economy, established industrial base and growing sectors, including artificial intelligence, clean technology and life sciences.

Manning Elliott LLP partners Hirotatsu Ochiai and David Diebolt will provide updates on the Canadian economy and discuss Canadian taxation, compliance requirements and practical considerations for cross-border business. Guest speaker Issei Aoki, Partner at Aoki International Tax Accounting Office, will cover Japanese accounting and tax requirements, including consumption tax, export exemptions, documentation and consignment inventory.

The sessions will offer practical guidance to help businesses better understand the regulatory and tax considerations involved in entering or expanding in the Canadian market, followed by a networking reception.
