Special Lecture - H.E. Mr. Mackenzie Clugston, Ambassador of Canada to Japan
"Canadian Immigration Policy and the Emergence of a Truly Multicultural Society"
What can Japan learn from Canada in fostering a global perspective among its citizens? While each country must find its own way forward based on its unique circumstances, Canada’s experience with multiculturalism might serve as a source of reference for Japan, a country that faces a shrinking workforce as well as demands for greater internationalization. Ambassador Clugston will describe the evolution of Canada’s immigration policy and how it has contributed to Canada’s current rich cultural diversity.
