Effective Communication Series: Empowering Diverse Teams

Wednesday, February 4, 2026 | 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Canadian Embassy, Tokyo

Following strong attendance at our first session, the CCCJ Global Diversity Management Committee invites you to an executive fireside chat featuring Sarah Casanova, former Director and Chairman of McDonald's Japan, and Honorary Board Advisor to the CCCJ, Mitsuru Irie, Co-founder and CEO of MI-6, Mayu Isoi, Senior Director at Chapman CG, and Aaron Reist, Head of Professional Services at Woven by Toyota in Tokyo.

In a candid discussion, panelists will explore questions that many leaders face but rarely discuss openly—including lessons learned about the importance of clear communication, the specific advice that shifted how they empower diverse teams, and whether leadership principles transcend cultural contexts or require cultural adaptation.

This is an opportunity to engage directly with executives who have navigated these challenges across organizations and cultures, and to explore practical approaches with peers facing similar questions.

Networking with refreshments follows the session.
