As the longest running Canadian Chamber in Asia, the CCCJ has quite a history. Even in my relatively short involvement with the chamber, as a member when Eric de Groot was Chair, a governor with Wilf Wakely, and Vice-Chair during Ron Haigh’s current term, there have been many changes; the creation of our amazing Honorary Board of Advisors to name just one.
The CCCJ exists for the purpose of promoting development of commerce between Canada and Japan through serving members, dissemination / advocacy, and outreach. To effectively put this in action, we just need to keep asking ourselves the following four questions:
How can we better serve members?
What are the issues that matter now?
How can we make a difference?
How can we grow a stronger, more sustainable chamber?
I’m looking forward to working closely with our Governors, our office, and all our members to find the best answers we can to those questions.
