On July 3, the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (CCCJ) welcomed members to its 2026 Annual General Meeting at the Embassy of Canada to Japan, providing an opportunity to reflect on another successful year for the Chamber, review our progress, and welcome our Board of Governors for the 2026–2028 term.

Following the AGM, members and guests gathered for our annual Canada Day Celebration, hosted by H.E. Ian McKay, Ambassador of Canada to Japan and Canada's Special Envoy to the Indo-Pacific. We were honoured to hold this year's celebr tion at the Official Residence, with our sincere thanks to Ambassador McKay for his generous hospitality.
We are deeply grateful to Ambassador McKay for his continued leadership driving Canada-Japan business relations, and support of the CCCJ. By bringing together leaders and professionals from across the Canada–Japan business community, the event highlighted the strong and enduring relationship between our two countries and the growing opportunities for collaboration, trade, and investment.

We were delighted to welcome Ryan Charland, President and CEO of Manulife Japan, who shared remarks during the evening. The strength of the CCCJ lies in its members, partners, and supporters, whose engagement continues to make our Chamber a platform for meaningful connection, collaboration, and growth.
