Children's Charity Hockey Tournament in Yokohama

Tokyo Canadians Hockey Club together with Smile & Dream presents Children's Charity Hockey Tournament in Yokohama supported by CCCJ

A Junior Hockey team's Home Ice in Ishinomaki was  Severely damaged by the devastating Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami.

Tragically, most of the players lost family and/or Friends. The children continue to live in the area
surrounded by the constant and stressful reminders of that tragic day. The goal for the event is to give these kids an opportunity to get away for a weekend to play the sport they love with their teammates. Hopefully the tournament will not only re-ignite their spirit and camaraderie, but inspire the players to continue to follow their dreams and to continue playing hockey.

At the same time, funds will be raised to donate directly to the rink to help all the local teams get back on the Ice.

About the Tournament:
- Three team round robin mini-tournament including a junior team from Ishinomaki.
- Following the tournament will be an adult exhibition game between the Tokyo Canadians vs. Japanese Selects.
- A BBQ party will be held near the rink for the all players, parents and guests after the games.
