2018 marks the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Canada. In order to celebrate this milestone, MOFA has designed a commemorative logo. The logo depicts a stylized outline of the iconic Fuji-san and the Rocky Mountains.
1. Importance of unfettered economic activities throughout the three NAFTA countries
(1) As private sectors in North America become increasingly interdependent, NAFTA’s role is becoming greater.
Free trade and enhanced mobility of people in the region promotes business activities of Japanese companies that have invested in North America, including the United States, enabling them to contribute to the economic growth of Canada, the United States and Mexico.
