About HQ Vancouver:
Vancouver, with over 40% of residents of Asian heritage, is the most Asian city outside of North America and has had a long standing ethnic and economic relationship with Japan. By virtue of being the closest major city to Asia in North America, it is a strategic gateway to the rest of the Americas from Asia. Consistently rated as amongst the best places to live in the world and having the lowest corporate tax rate in North America, Vancouver is an ideal setting for corporate headquarters. Vancouver boasts world class talent in such key sectors as: digital media, mining, life sciences, performance apparel amongst others which is supported by world class post-secondary institutions such as the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University.
While traditionally Japanese companies have established their North American headquarters in California and New York, the same access to market to the US market can be had from Vancouver through the North American Free Trade Agreement. By setting up offices in Vancouver, companies will realize lower business costs compared to cities in the US in terms of: corporate taxes, wages, healthcare costs, payroll taxes, and office lease costs. The cost differential has further increased in recent years as the Canadian dollar has depreciated in value to the US dollar.
HQ Vancouver’s extensive network of connections both in the public and private sector can assist companies in establishing their presence in one of the most vibrant and liveable locations in the world.
