The Canadian Chamber of Commerce (CCCJ) had the pleasure of co-hosting the Canada 150 event with the Embassy of Canada to Japan at the Official Residence on June 30, 2017. The event saw over 450 guests from all sectors in the Canada-Japan Business Community, as well as contacts of both the CCCJ and the Embassy of Canada. Ambassador Ian Burney welcomed the 450+ guests on a rainy day, stressing the importance of Canada-Japan bilateral relationship and showed optimism in an enhanced partnership.
Several Canadian artists were in attendance, including the only Canadian Rakugo legend Katsura Sunshine, who performed in front of hundreds of guests. In addition, many Canadian food products were featured, such as Alberta beef, Nova Scotia Lobster, as well as Poutine.
