In spring break 2013, CCCJ members and friends together with NPO, Ganbatte 365, brought down 11 high school students from Takata SHS in Rikuzentakata, Iwate Prefecture for a week of home stay and work experience in the big city. CCCJ Members offered their homes and their companies to help make the project a success and an unforgettable experience for the kids. Everyone who participated came away feeling great about their involvement. Here is a short video documenting the project:
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Canpotex Limited (Canpotex) announces a US $100,000 donation to the Canadian Red Cross to assist in relief efforts in the Philippines, following the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan (typhoon) on November 3, 2013.
Steve Dechka, Canpotex’s President and Chief Executive Officer, stated that this donation validates Canpotex’s focus on long-term relationships and commitment to its Philippines’ loyal customers and their affected families and country.
The CCCJ welcomes 11 fine young teenagers from Takata Senior High School, Rikuzentakata, Iwate-ken, who arrived on Sunday the 24th for a week of home stay and work experience. CCCJ members led by Neil van Wouw, Ray Pedersen, Ken Arbour and Robert Fuller organized the business community to open their homes and offices and their hearts to these fine young people from one of Tohouku’s hardest hit areas.
