Osaka City Business Seminar

WHY OSAKA?
~Osaka Invigorated by
the Kansai Innovation International Strategic Comprehensive Special Zone~

2013 will be a special year for the “Osaka Station District” and the “Osaka Bay Area (Yumeshima and Sakishima Islands Districts)”, which are the designated zones of the Kansai Innovation International Strategic Comprehensive Special Zone. This is because “Umekita” at the Osaka Station District will open in spring, and in Osaka Bay Area, the approximately 40-hectare industrial and logistics site in Yumeshima will start accepting tenant applications.

It is expected that both districts will play a vital role in creating new innovations that are globally competitive, and therefore businesses that are established in these districts will be eligible for various advantages which include tax breaks and special regulations.

This seminar will highlight the outline of the two districts and will include a presentation on the current status of the materials-related industry that is the strength of Osaka Kansai, which is closely related to life science, environmental and energy industries. Another presentation will feature a disaster prediction of the Nankai Trough Earthquake based on the estimates of seismic intensity and tsunami that was currently released.

Those of Japanese and foreign-affiliated companies based in Tokyo and surrounding area are cordially invited to attend the following seminar:
