Dear CCCJ Members,
This message is the official notice of election of the CCCJ Board of Governors (including the Vice-Chair) for the 2016 to 2018 two-year term, and consists of a report on nominations for the 2016 election, candidate profiles, key dates to remember and an explanation of the online voting system used by the CCCJ.
Report on Nominations for the 2016 CCCJ Election
A call for nominations with an August 31, 2016 deadline was sent to every Member by e-mail on August 10, 2016. I am very pleased to report that we had an excellent response this year to our call for nominations of candidates to serve on our Board of Governors.
The following 7 candidates have been nominated for election to fill the position of Vice Chair and the 4 other available positions of Governor. Since Neil van Wouw was the only candidate nominated for Vice Chair, he will be elected by acclamation and the other 6 candidates will run for the 4 other available positions of Governor.
All candidates are members in good standing and were duly nominated pursuant to the CCCJ’s Constitution and By-laws. We encourage you to read through each candidate’s profile before voting. Copies will also be made available on the CCCJ website.
