Kompass

Kompass Japan has just released the annual update to their Kompass Japan B2B Information CD-ROM.

Kompass International is a French provider of a global B2B database for over 60 years. Originating from Switzerland, Kompass now has local offices in over 70 countries, including their Japanese arm located in Tokyo.  The Kompass database has been adopted by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) library and the World Trade Center (WTO) for many years.

Kompass markets their database and services as a “market place for business,” by connecting sellers and buyers. Their Japan edition CD-ROM contains the basic data of 25,000 companies’ including but not limited to: addresses, telephone numbers, activities, products / services, employee number, executive names, capital funding, turnover, etc. Companies can apply to Kompass to have basic information inserted into the database free of charge. More detailed information can be inserted, entailing a fee.

To ensure that this vast database is easily accessible, Kompass has developed a unique classification system. Each product and service is assigned a seven digit code, arranged in a hierarchical structure. In addition, to remain relevant Kompass contacts each corporate entity to update their published data annually. Kompass International also operates an online version of their B2B database.

Visit Kompass International for more information about Kompass products and services, in English, Japanese, and 24 other languages.
